Job Description:

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Assistant for a one-to-one role in a mainstream primary school located in St. Helens. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with a patient and nurturing demeanour.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to students with behavioural needs within the mainstream primary school setting.
Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions as directed by the school's SENCO and other relevant staff.
Foster positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents to promote a supportive learning environment.
Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised support plans for students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour incidents.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Behaviour Support Assistant or similar role in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Patience and a nurturing approach when working with students.
Ability to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday, during school hours.
Relevant qualifications and certifications are advantageous
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Oversea Police Clarence (if necessary) and professional reference check
CV must cover last 10 years of employment and education
Legal right to work in the UK
