Job Title: Early Career Teacher (ECT)

Location: South Liverpool, UK

Are you an enthusiastic and driven Education student who is passionate about embarking on a rewarding career in teaching? We are currently seeking Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join our team at a vibrant primary school located in South Liverpool. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity for education students due to graduate this year to kick-start their teaching journey in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Position Overview: As an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience under the guidance of experienced mentors and colleagues. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting student learning, and contributing to the positive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are aligned with the national curriculum and tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing teaching and learning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and reflective practice to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and other relevant data.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education (or equivalent qualification).
  • Due to graduate this year (or have recently graduated).
  • Passion for working with children and making a positive difference in their lives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in teaching.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
