Are you a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher seeking a flexible role that allows you to work part-time hours? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time PPA Teacher at our vibrant primary school. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide PPA cover across various year groups, contributing to the delivery of high-quality education in a supportive school environment.

Position Overview: As a Part-Time PPA Teacher, you will be responsible for providing PPA cover to classes across different year groups in the absence of the regular class teachers. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons and maintain continuity of learning for students during teacher absence. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with students of varying ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide PPA cover across various year groups, delivering pre-prepared lessons in line with the school curriculum.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and engagement.
  • Ensure continuity of learning for students by following lesson plans and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships with students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience teaching in a primary school setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students across different year groups.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
