School Cleaner Required: East Hull Villages

Are you an experienced cleaner looking for a rewarding opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Cleaner to join our esteemed educational institution within the East Hull Villages. This position offers a part-time schedule, working from 6am-8am, five days a week as an example of hours but these are subject to change. Also in the holidays the hours will be more flexible as the school undertakes a deep clean in the holidays. Due to location the ability to drive would be essential. About the Role:

As a School Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of our school premises. Your duties will include:

• Performing general cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and dusting classrooms, corridors, and common areas.
• Cleaning and sanitising washrooms and restocking necessary supplies.
• Emptying waste bins and maintaining waste disposal protocols.
• Assisting with the setup of classrooms for various activities or events as required.
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in a school or educational setting.
• A strong work ethic and a meticulous approach to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within the allocated time frame.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to follow them diligently.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on the task at hand.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with school staff and students.

Additional Information:

• All applicants will be subject to KCSIE checks (Keeping Children Safe in Education) as part of our safeguarding procedures. This means being able to provide professional references from within the last 2 years as well as having a DBS registered to the up date service and overseas police checks in place if required.
• For the right candidate, this temporary role has the potential to become a permanent position.
