We are supporting a vibrant and inclusive primary school with a specialised SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) unit attached to a mainstream primary school.
Their dedicated team is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child, regardless of their challenges, can thrive academically and emotionally.
As a Teaching Assistant in this SEND unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting children from Reception to Year 6 with a diverse range of additional needs. From Autism to Speech and Language Difficulties, your dedication will contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Can you...
- Collaborate with class Teachers to implement tailored support strategies for individual students.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with various learning challenges.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support the emotional and social well-being of students, promoting a sense of belonging.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Willingness to undergo training and professional development
- Ability to adapt and tailor support to meet individual needs.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in supporting children with SEND.
