Job Description: Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to provide long-term one-to-one support at a mainstream primary school in Widnes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering personalised instruction to a student with additional needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one academic support tailored to the individual needs of the student.
Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the school's SENCO and other relevant staff.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the student's growth and development.
Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage the student and enhance their learning experience.
Monitor and assess the student's progress regularly, adjusting instruction as needed to address emerging needs.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education and well-being.

The desirables:

Experience working on a one-to-one basis with children or adults with additional needs.
Strong knowledge of primary curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time (8.30am - 3.30pm).

The essentials:

Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Oversea Police Clarence (if necessary) and professional reference checks
CV must cover last 10 years of employment and education.
