Tradewind is recruiting! We are looking to recruit a Teaching assistant who has experience of teaching young people with Autism difficulties at a Special Educational Needs school in Frome from September 2018.

The role will involve working with young people in Secondary ages with Autism and Aspergers. There will be some 1:1 work as well as group work within the class. The class sizes are maximum 6 pupils and the ratio of staff is 2:1.

This role might be ideal for you if:

-You have previous Teaching Support experience with Autism and/or Aspergers
-You have previously worked with young people who have communication difficulties.
-You have experience and understanding of working in a Special Educational needs setting
-You are available full-time from next term.
-You have training in Makaton and or PECS or visual timetables.
-You have a flexible and conscientious approach to supporting young people with additional needs but aim for high standards
-You are looking for a long-term position within schools.
