*Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification/Degree qualification
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK

We are recruiting for an SEN KS1 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a one-form entry primary school. The school is a welcoming, friendly school with a positive caring environment.

About the role:
This OFSTED 'Good' primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their KS1 department, supporting a child within Year 2. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management, experience of working with children with Autism as well as a good knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum. You must be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.
The role itself will involve supporting a child within the schools Year 2 class who has Autism. The child is working at a lower level than other students in the class and requires extra support with gaining access to the curriculum. Ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management and the ability to remain patient, firm and fair. The school are looking for somebody who has the ability to be innovative and engaging, ensuring that the child has fun whilst making progress.
