― Pablo Picasso
Do you have a passion and love for Art that will enthuse students to pick up a paintbrush? Would you like the opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a difference to the education of children?
Then contact me today because Tradewind are recruiting!
Tradewind are working with a school in North Lincolnshire who are looking to recruit an Art Teacher from the start of the academic year, until Easter 2021 (this may be subject to change).
The role is required to start September 2020. However, if the schools reopen sooner than July 2020, there may be potential for this position to start earlier than September.
Senior leadership from the school are still very much working and will be available to interview via Skype should the right candidate become available!
The position is a full time Art teaching position that is covering a period of absence due to a maternity leave. This is a department that is extremely organised, and the subject leader has a wealth of resources to share, meaning planning for this position will be minimal. While this position is to cover a maternity leave, there is potential for this to become a permanent position, depending on the staffing situation at the school in the new academic year.
All planning and marking associated with a teaching position will be expected for this role, and as such the successful candidate can expect pay that is reflected in this. Successful candidates can expect to earn between £120.00 and £184.00 per day for this position, depending on qualifications and experience.
As you will be paid to scale for this position, you will be expected to attend any parents evenings that the school are running, and you will be treated as a permanent member of staff, with PPA time and free periods for planning and marking purposes. Ideally we are looking for a practitioner who is fully qualified with QTS, but of course we will be interested in hearing from practitioners who are qualified in the FE sector, with experience teaching students in the 11-16 age range.
The school itself is a large Academy in the centre of the town. The school believes in more than just progress for progress sake, and work extremely hard to promote wellbeing and further opportunities to the students in their community. The opportunity to participate beyond timetabled hours will be plentiful in this school (but not expected), so we welcome applications from teachers who share the belief of promoting the development of students in their care. The schools timetabled hours are between 8:15AM and 3:30PM. There is ample space in the car park for practitioners who drive, and there are regular busses on routes around the school's location for practitioners who don't drive. We are looking for practitioners who have experience teaching Art to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. There is potential for some timetabled Photography hours (to Key Stage 4 students), if the successful candidate has experience teaching this, and would be interested in teaching some eager and willing students. Experience teaching Photography is in no way essential for this role.
The role:
* Delivering Key Stage 3 and 4 Art
* Delivering Key Stage 4 Photography
* Marking in line with the national curriculum
Essential requirements:
QTS is essential for this post.
Candidates must be able to provide legal right to work in the UK in order to apply for this role.
