ASD Teaching Assistant required for a primary school to start in September 2018 for a long-term role that will be likely to run for the academic year. Should you prove yourself to the school and have an impact on the children you will be supporting there will be an opportunity to go back in September 2019 or even taken on perm.

There is a high proportion of autistic children attending the school so a good knowledge and understanding of autism is essential for the role. Also, being able to work with challenging behaviour would be beneficial.

The ideal ASD Teaching Assistant will have experience working in either primary or secondary school environment giving ASD support to students in class.

The role will be very varied, you will be working as across both Key Stages and also doing 1:1 work.

The school is a lively inner London school based in East London, easily commutable from in or outside of London. The closest station to the school is All Saints or Blackwall on the DLR.
