About the School - Primary Assistant Head (AHT) - Waltham Forest, East London
Located in the vibrant London borough of Waltham Forest, only a short trip from central London, this exciting 3 form entry Primary School has been steadily improving over the past 5 years and is looking to appoint a new senior leader from September, who in the capacity of Assistant Head will take responsibility for inclusion across all key stages. This school has a high intake of EAL, SEN and free school meal pupils. Attainment in numeracy and literacy has been steadily increasing but the school is keen to ensure that all pupils have an equal opportunity to succeed regardless of their background, which will be the focus of this post.

About the Role - Primary Assistant Head (AHT) - Waltham Forest, East London
All senior leaders at this school are primarily exceptional teachers and as such receive a 50:50 split between class based and non-class based duties. The school will be able to accommodate teaching in a year group that suits the incoming Assistant Heads strengths and ensures there is an adequate amount of non-contact time to carry out leadership duties. Although this is a larger than average Primary School it still has a friendly feel to it and as such the school will be looking for a leader with the right attitude who can make the tough decisions but can do it in such a way that does not alienate colleagues. This is a role of high importance to the school and as such only highly committed teachers will be considered.
