Are you Behavioural TA / Support Worker looking for a new opportunity in an SEMH School in Blackburn?

Are you a Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time position starting ASAP. This is a full-time position on a long term temporary contract, working 5 days per week 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only with the potential of going permanent.

Tradewind Preston are working in partnership with a 'Good' SEMH School to recruit an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker to support on a 1-2-1 basis with a pupil in Year 8. The pupil is in a settled class and the class has a general TA in the class, you will be required to just support one child on a 1-2-1 basis.

The most recent OFSTED graded the school as 'Good'. At the SEMH School they cater for KS2 - KS4 pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. The school aims to ensure that they give them the necessary support to improve their confidence, self-esteem and enable them to become successful learners in school and prepared for their future working lives.

The ideal candidate for this role will have Team Teach Training and a minimum of 6 months experience working in an SEMH environment or have worked extensively with learners with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs).

We are looking for:
*Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
*Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
*Experience with supporting SEMH
*Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently

This SEMH School is located in Blackburn close to the M65 with a large free staff car park. If you are travelling by public transport, there is a bus stop just outside the school.
