On behalf of one of our partnership school's, we are looking to recruit a Behaviour Tutor for their Alternative provision. The Behaviour Tutor role is to start in September, initially on a long term basis, however the school are looking to make this role permanent for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Behaviour Tutor to support the learning of students within the Academy's brand new on-site Alternative Provision facility. Working under the direction of the Alternative Provision Manager, you will be required to lead and support lessons to improve the achievement and behaviour of identified students, who, despite a number of interventions, are at risk of permanent exclusion. As part of this role you will also be required to work with small intervention groups, to assist in the delivery and implementation of the Academy's Literacy and Numeracy strategies.

What the school are looking for;

Suitable candidates will have previous experience of working with challenging and demotivated children/young people in an educational setting, to reengage them in learning. You must be a confident communicator, resilient, and have an absolute commitment to wanting the best for children and young people. With the ability to co-ordinate and organise resources effectively you will have the drive and determination to motivate disengaged students, acting as a positive role model for individuals and groups of students.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a member of a highly committed and talented team where collaboration and team work are essential. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, staff who will go the extra mile.

The school is located in the heart of South Manchester, has free parking, 2 minutes walk from the nearest tram stop and is accessible by many local buses.
