About the School - Biology Teacher - Barking, East London
Located in Hackney, this 'Good' Ofsted School is looking to appoint an additional Science Teacher to join its well-run department, teaching Biology through to A-Level. The school has 1600 students in total who come from a range of different cultural and social backgrounds but all learn together in harmony. Teaching at the school is at a good standard and improving consistently. Behaviour is also good and the students are respectful of their teachers, especially when captivated by well-planned lessons. The science department has a dedicated team of 11 teachers who are a mixture of experienced and newly qualified practitioners led by an excellent HOD with over 20 years' experience. The school has invested heavily in facilities for all departments and the science block is no exception with its modern classrooms and labs.
