Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for you next role teaching Business Studies and Economics in Newham?

Tradewind are looking to recruit a qualified Business Studies and Economics to join a successful faculty in September 2020.

The faculty consists of three discrete subjects: Economics, Business Studies and Computing. Within the faculty each subject offers its GCSE qualification and at post-16, we offer A Level Computing and Economics alongside Cambridge Technical Business Studies. The faculty is led by a Director of Learning, who is subject lead for Economics. The department recognises the relevance of its subjects to future careers prospects and incorporates STEM links within all of the subject areas. It has also worked over the last 12 months to develop cross-curricular links to ensure consistent approaches to developing the wider learning skills of the students we teach. The Faculty is always keen to grow and develop its teaching and learning practice and put students at the centre of every decision. They work hard to make sure that our students love our subject, improve the cultural capital of those that we teach, and aspire to achieve their very best.
It is envisaged the successful post holder will have responsibility for a specific area within Business Studies and Economics faculty; this specific area of responsibility will be discussed at interview and agreed depending on the background of the successful applicant and the needs of the academy.

This Academy is a very enjoyable place to work and benefit from a strong sense of community where staff, students and parents work purposely together and support one another.

In order to give their staff, the best possible experience and achieve a proper work- life balance, they have a range of measures in place to benefit staff. Some of which include
Excellent promotion opportunities
Rapid and effective support with any student behavioural issues arising
A high-quality staff induction programme
Nursery on site
Additional time for leadership responsibilities
Focus on effective outcomes rather than time spent
High levels of admin support for all teachers
On-going celebration of staff excellence
Plus many more
