Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Business studies teacher looking for your next long term role in North East Lincolnshire?


Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent Business studies to work on a full time basis in an excellent school in North East Lincolnshire, on a temporary contract covering a sickness absence. The initial length of this contract is for one month, but as this is covering a sickness absence, it may extend in the future. We ask that candidates applying are available after February half term, in the event of the booking extending. We are ideally looking for a practitioner who can teach Business Studies to Key Stage 4 students, and the ability to teach ICT to Key Stage 3 students is highly desirable, as this will be part of the timetable. The school operates using the OCR specification, so experience teaching with this exam board is desirable, but by no means essential, as long as the applying candidate has strong subject knowledge. Initially, planning and marking will be provided by a head of department, so this will not be expected (unless you would prefer to do your own planning). Rates for daily cover (without planning) will be between £110.00 and £135.00 per day. Rates for cover including planning and marking will be paid to scale, and on these rates the successful candidate can expect to earn between £130.00 and £184.00 per day.


The School in question is a large Academy with good transport links and a strong sense of community spirit. Being in the heart of Grimsby, it is easily accessible via public transport, and has ample on site parking for those practitioners who do drive. The school hours are 8:30 - 3:15PM, with the school having five one hour lessons per day. The academy is part of an extremely successful academy chain, with excellent systems in place, ensuring that behaviour at the academy is good. With another member of the same academy chain in very close proximity, and the academies in regular contact with one another, this is an excellent opportunity to ensure regular work in the future.
