Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a Chemistry Teacher to work in an a highly ranked all boys school in East London to start in September 2019
This school was rated Outstanding in their last Ofsted inspection and is renowned for producing and taking on some of the best teachers in the industry, your skills will definitely be sharpened here.
This school is based on the outskirts of East London and is a short walk from a rail station that comes in from central London. The school is based in a relatively affluent area with high rate of home ownership. Some of the staff travel in from Stratford. However, if you are a driver the school has a car park accessible to all staff.
The Head Teacher has a passion in producing new leaders within the education world, helping enthusiastic and talented teachers become the next Heads of Departments, Assistant Heads, Deputy Heads, and even Head Teachers
The Science department consists of 8 teachers currently who encourages pupils to work to their full potential and experience a sense of achievement, stimulating curiosity and interest in different aspects of Science. There is also prospect within the department to become Head of Chemistry quickly.
The school can provide accommodation to overseas or relocated teachers, as a support when finding their feet. The school also have sponsorship capabilities for the right teacher.
Responsibilities for this Chemistry Teacher role would include;
*Teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 Chemistry to exceptional boy's classes of about 20 students per class
*Working as a team and share high level practises with colleagues to remain ahead of the game one of the leading departments within the school
*Brainstorming creative and innovative ways to improve the boy's achievement in English
*Attending staff meetings and parent's evenings as required out of school hours
*Writing progress reports for the boys
*Preparing A level students for university
*Contributing to the friendly, helpful and driven atmosphere within the school and department
*Constantly upskilling yourself to be the best practitioner you can be
Requirements for you as a Chemistry Teacher include;
*Holding a QTS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)
*Having an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance and previous professional references that are at an average of Good or above
*Having a legal right to work in the UK
