Tradewind Hull are working with one of our fantastic partnership schools on the outskirts of Hull, who are looking for a full time teacher of Computer Science to start in September 2021, until at least October half term, but likely until at least December 2021. In the interim, planning and marking will not be expected, so the successful candidate can expect payment to range between £110.00 and £145.00 per day. You will be covering a phased return, working closely with the returning teacher to deliver high level Computer science teaching. This is a part time vacancy, 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).

You will predominantly be teaching ICT/Computer Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. There is potential for some Key Stage 5 teaching on the timetable, for a suitably qualified/experienced candidate. This is a large department, with experienced staff members, and for that reason the school would be happy to receive applications from newly qualified teachers.

This school is accessible from most areas of Hull via public transport and the school is an easy drive from Hull. There is a large, free, onsite car park for those candidates who drive. Catering for over 1500 students, this large, educational establishment is region leading, being proud of its exceptional provision to its students. Having worked with this setting for a number of years, we know first hand the care taken to provide temporary staff members with a pleasant experience, ensuring that staff are integrated and settled quickly.

The role:

  • Teaching Computer Science/ICT to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
  • Assessing coursework
  • Attending staff meetings and training days

Essential requirements:
A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)

All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
