Vocational Instructor/Support

Tradewind are working with an SEMH school in Rossendale and looking for a Vocational Instructor/Support to work in their completely refurbished modern classrooms, plus specialist rooms and a Vocational Unit.

The salary will be from £18,000 to £27,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

You will be working with the Vocational Coordinator and the schools partner college to ensure that all pupils have the high-quality learning experiences and are supported to reach their full potentials. The successful candidate will assess and internally verify pupil work and ensure the smooth running of the vocational department and its resources within the Building and Construction Course at the School.

The ideal person for the school would have a positive attitude and extensive knowledge and experience of working in the construction industry. Experience of working with young people is not essential as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate would have experience of working in a SEN environment would be desirable but not essential.

After visiting the school, I was really impressed with behaviour and the state of the art facilities. The school has a welcoming team of staff and a strong and well-structured SLT. As a Vocational Instructor/Support you will have the support of a committed team of teachers who work collaboratively in order to maintain high standards throughout the school.
