Cover Supervisor

Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be making an appointment for the position of Cover Supervisor for a high achieving 11-18 academy in Croydon.
This academy offers a high quality of education for students and excellent career progression and training for staff. Cover Supervisors work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom including the supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering lessons of any subject, setting high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed. The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career, but applications are welcome from any candidate with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.

To be successful in this role you will:
*Be enthusiastic about education and helping children to be the best they can be.
*Have some previous experience of working with children in some capacity - this does not have to be within a school setting
*Be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Have a CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*Have the legal right to work in the UK.
