SEN Residential School (Autism) - Norwich, Norfolk - Long term position with potential to becoming permanent - Circa £50,000 at 40 hours per week, term time only - Ages 4 to 19 - Starting ASAP

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher, SENCO or educational specialist with experience of supporting students with Autism? Would you be keen to find a leadership role where you could help set the direction of the school over the coming years but still play an active part in the classroom?

***Salary negotiable around £50,000 - 40 hours p/w, term time only (flexibility required)
***Open to SEN Teachers, SENCO's or sector specialists - ideally holding QTS

About the School - Deputy Head Teacher (SEN) - Norwich, Norfolk
Located just outside the vibrant and popular city of Norwich in Norfolk this fantastic SEN residential school has been providing a high level of education to children with Autism for the past 40 years. The school caters for students between the ages of 4 and 19 and has around 80 pupils made up of a combination of residential and daily pupils. The school supports ASD students with a range of severity. Students are well supported by passionate SEN professionals who have strong understanding in how to ensure all get the very best education and opportunities. This is a happy school and great working/learning environment that should appeal to all passionate SEN educationalists. Starting at the earliest opportunity possible (although the school will wait for the right person) a Deputy Head Teacher is required to directly support the Principal in the long-term planning of direction and the day to day operation of the school.

Role requirements - Deputy Head Teacher (SEN) - Norwich, Norfolk
*Reporting to the Principal, you will work together to lead all aspects of the school and its provision of education.
*The role will require an experienced SEN specialist ideally holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with management experience. SEN Teachers or SENCO's from mainstream or SEN Schools will have a distinct advantage.
*Management responsibility will be people based including recruitment, training and development, in class teaching, curriculum development and working with all external agencies/parents.
*A passion for SEN teaching and a clear understanding of Autism is essential.
