Tradewind are looking for a full time Design Technology Teacher to start in September 2020 to continue until the end of the academic year.

This Ofsted rated 'Good in all areas' school has free parking onsite. The school are fortunate to have a dynamic, dedicated and passionate team of teachers and support staff with an inspirational Head and supportive leadership team.


The school is located in Bury, Greater Manchester and is easily accessible via the M62/A580 and public transport links from surrounding areas, the school also has ample on-site parking facilities.

The Role

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will have access to a supportive and committed team of teachers who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations plus:
* A well-equipped department with a fantastic design department and up to date digital learning tools


The suceesful DT teacher can expect to work in modern facilities with state of the art equipment alongside a technician and other members of the faculty.
The successful teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable to pupils aged 11-16 up to GCSE level. You will be expected to work with a variety of topics including 3D drawing, crafting techniques, manufacturing and woodwork.

You must hold experience teaching Design and Technology up to GCSE level previously to be considered. Both experienced and newly qualified DT Teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.

* Hold QTS Status or QTLS
* Be experienced in teaching Design & Technology to Key Stages 3 and 4
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
* You CV must have 10 years employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
