Tradewind are recruiting for a Design Technology Teacher to start ASAP on a long term and part-time basis, 2 days/wk. This could increase over time. Pay up to £150/day.

You would be required to plan and deliver lessons which would need to be pitched at the right level and differentiated to meet individual need. Class sizes are no more than 8 to 10 pupils.

The school caters for young people aged 11-16 and all have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. The school is very child centred and has a strong focus on equipping pupils for life beyond secondary education whether that's work, apprenticeship or further education. They deliver most of the core subjects however they have many vocational subjects as well as ASDAN.

This is a rewarding role for someone who likes to see the progress of young people that often engage more with vocational subjects as well as an opportunity to make a real impact on the emotional, behavioural and confidence levels of some of the areas most vulnerable young people.
