About the School - Design & Technology Teacher - Hackney, East London

Starting in September this large Roman Catholic School, located in the London Borough of Hackney is looking to appoint a DT Teacher to join the school on a permanent basis. In 2012 the school moved into new premises which are purpose built at a cost of 45 million. The school was last Ofsted visited in January 2018 when they were awarded a 'Good' across all categories apart from leadership where they were deemed to be 'Outstanding'. The school has a varied intake of students from a range of backgrounds and beliefs with teachers from every faith and none. The school has good behaviour throughout and the children are keen to learn although this is an inner city school that will give you the full range of challenges as many of the students have previously been EAL and free school meals numbers are over 60%. Last year the school received 540 applications for 180 Year 7 spaces showing the popularity and good image the school holds within the local community.



About the Role - Design & Technology Teacher - Hackney, East London

To apply for this role, you do not need to be of the Catholic faith or indeed any faith. This is a vibrant school with a mixed intake of pupils and the staff backgrounds match.
The school is hard working and expects 100% from its teachers on a daily basis but in return will invest heavily in staff development (currently there are 10 members of staff doing their Masters at the schools expense.
This position is suitable for experienced and newly qualified teachers with a leading induction programme for NQT's.
