About the School - Design Technology Teacher - Haringey, North London
Located in Haringey, North London and just a short journey to the centre of London this improving Academy School has just recently been awarded a 'Good' overall grade from Ofsted. The ambitious head teacher and his senior leadership team are aware there is still room for much improvement in all areas but are pleased with the path that the school is on and fully expect the school to continue its recent success. The school is looking to appoint a permanent DT Teacher from January who ideally holds a Workshop Safety Certificate (although will consider funding training for those who do not hold it). Design Technology at this school is popular through to A-Level and as such the school has invested heavily in ensuring that the teaching areas are the best they can be, machinery is either new or well maintained and the department is fully resourced with materials. The department is led by a talented HOD who has developed from an NQT over the past 5 years with school so has an excellent understanding of the pupils and their needs. There are 4 other full time teachers who are various stages of their careers who work well together as a great team.
