Tradewind are recruiting! During the summer holidays Tradewind are looking ahead to September when our client schools re-open and as a result we are looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teachers who are looking for positions starting in September 2020.

We are supporting our client schools in Wigan to find outstanding Design and Technology Teachers who are looking for daily assignments and long-term assignments. We are looking to recruit NQTs, RQTs and experienced teachers of Design and Technology.

Regardless of your specialism we would love to hear from you. Whether you specialise in Engineering, Electronics, Graphic Design, Product Design, Resistant Materials, Textiles or Food Technology - Tradewind can assist you in finding your dream position!

Pay rate will vary dependent on assignment and experience however you can expect between
£95- £130 on daily supply and from £105 - £185 for long-term positions.

The Wigan Local Authority consists of 19 Secondary Schools catering for 25 wards. The authority has excellent transport links being situated by the M6, M58, M61 and A580. The town centre has 2 train stations and excellent bus links. The schools in the authority are diverse in nature, you could be working in an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school or a school which is rated as 'Requires Improvement'.

We are looking for:
* Outstanding Design Technology practitioners who can teach across Key Stage 3 and 4;
* Committed Design Technology practitioners, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their roles;
* A candidate who is prepared to plan, deliver and mark work on a long-term assignment and fulfil your additional responsibilities (eg. Parents evenings and lunch time duties) as a permanent member of staff would do (long-term supply);
* A candidate who is prepared to deliver set work but have resources to hand if necessary (daily supply);
* A candidate who will follow school policies and take guidance and supervision from the Cover Manager and Head of Department;

To join us and be successful in this Design Technology Teacher role you will need to:
* Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
