Tradewind are working with an excellent partnership school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, who require a Design Technology technician to start on June 28th on a 37 hour per week contract, until October 25th 2021. Payment for this position will be between £80 - 90 per day, or between £13.00-14.00 per hour. There is potential for this week to start slightly earlier (potentially a week), and there will be the opportunity for a 'handover week' with the current post holder, to ensure that the successful candidate is set up with as much information as possible before starting the position.
This school is looking for a practitioner to work in their exceptional Design Technology department, and the successful candidate will also be working closely with the Art department. We are looking for a practitioner who is comfortable and experienced using the woodwork and hard technology equipment, and somebody who will help maintain an online Art portfolio for the Art department.
The school is a large school, that offers Design Technology up to Key Stage 5, and are very proud of the excellent department. Being a very short drive from Hull, and an even shorter journey via train, this is a very accessible school via car or public transport. There is a large onsite car park for practitioners who do drive.
The role:
- Cleaning and maintaining the Technology machinery (this may include making very minor repairs)
- Maintaining an online Art Portfolio
- Completing all required admin for the department (this may include stock taking/ordering of materials)
- Supporting practical lessons in the Design Technology department
- Ensuring that Health and Safety regulations are adhered to
Essential requirements:
Experience working within a similar capacity
All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
