Tradewind are currently seeking a hardworking, dynamic, ambitious DT teacher to join an oversubscribed, high achieving Girls school in Merton.

This January post is a part time, three days per week position teaching DT (Product Design to Year 9, Textiles to Year 8). This is actually a permanent vacancy that will start on a temporary basis in January but, if it all goes well, this will lead to permanent contract.

The supply rate will vary dependant on suitability and experience (£150 - £200 per day). Then if this becomes permanent, the school pays national STPC salaries (M1-M6 and U1-U3) on Inner London scales.

We are looking for:

  • A DT specialist who can teach KS3-4 Textiles and Product Design (A level teaching experience is highly preferable)
  • A committed candidate who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
  • A dedicated and driven individual who will work well with an already successful and very supportive department.
  • Someone who would be available for the foreseeable future and interested in a permanent position.

The role: Teaching DT over a varied timetable and across different Key Stages and abilities.

Location: The school in Merton is easily accessible by Rail, Tube, bus and by car.

Our Client:

This is a very high achieving girls school, it's smaller than an average secondary school and is rated as outstanding in all areas.

The achievement level is well above the national average and there are very few, if any behaviour management issues. On the whole, the girls at this school are an absolute pleasure to teach.
