Working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week

Sanza Teaching Agency is working with a lovely independent nursery located in Islington. This Nursery is looking for a Nursery Teacher to work with a class of 30 children, the Nursery has a huge focus on Outdoor Learning and the facilities available are fantastic with a large outdoor area.

Qualifications and Experience:
*EYFS qualification or equivalent, NQT's are welcome to apply
*Paediatric First Aid
*Good communication skills and proficiency in the written and spoken English language
*Extensive knowledge of and act in accordance with current legal and statutory frameworks, policies, and procedures

Purpose of Job Role:
*Lead effective implementation and continues improvement of Early Years Foundation Stage and any other legal and statutory frameworks
*Lead assessment and delivery of best practice in all areas of the curriculum indoors and outdoors
*Develop strategies to improve performance and implement effective development plans for improvement
*To be responsible for planning and delivery of an inclusive curriculum suitable to meet the needs of all children
*To direct and support staff as agreed with the Management team

Main Responsibilities:
*Lead the educational provision for children from 3 months to 5 years
*Promote the high standards at all times to parents, staff and visitors
*Oversee the day to day provision of education for all children with special educational needs who attend working with the settings SENCO
*Work in partnership with Parent/Carers and staff to ensure a high standard of care and education
*To support and monitor planning systems for indoor and outdoor learning and implement best practice
*Develop and maintain an appropriate high quality, learning environment which provides challenging child-led and adult-initiated opportunities, both indoors and outdoors
*To train staff in writing progress check at age two and other reports and oversee the delivery of children's progress reports
*To support the implementation and delivery of a school readiness program
*Be responsible for implementing and monitoring systems of observation to enable children's progress and achievements to be regularly and effectively assessed and recorded
*Deliver CPD sessions in staff meetings and Inset Days
*Organise educational excursions and visits for children
*Notify the Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager of any concerns or issues regarding policies, procedures or operational practice
*Attend relevant training/conferences/meetings to support professional development, keeping up to date with childcare/education practice and cascading to staff team
*To undertake any duties set by the management team that will assist in the day-to-day running of the nursery

*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*Possess creativity and imagination
*To be supportive and have empathy towards others

Safeguarding:
*To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures and the staff code of conduct
*To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and children/colleague wellbeing.
*To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy.
*To engage in safeguarding training when required
