We are working with a SEND school near Swindon and they are currently seeking a Teacher with EBD Experience to work with young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. The role involves teaching English on a part -time basis. The school is a Specialist provision catering for pupils with BESD and Attachment Disorders. They require a Teacher that can teach to KS3 & KS4 students with experience of supporting children and young adults with challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties. The experience of working with people from similar background or challenges is highly desirable.
The position is full-time and will start next term and will be ongoing for the rest of the academic year of 2020-2021 . After the initial term, the role will be based on contract for the entirety of the academic year directly with the school.
Previous experience of working with young people with BESD is essential. It will be expected that candidates will have good communication skills and appropriate qualifications to be able to meet these high standards.
Must have:
-Experience with supporting young people with EBD in the past
-Behaviour management Training or experience
-QTS- Secondary
Highly Desirable:
-Special Educational Needs Experience in a care or school setting
-Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people with attachment disorder and challenging behaviour
-Training in SEN
