English Teacher; September 2019; Greenwich School.

The school are seeking to appoint a new member of staff to work within our hard working and dedicated English department team. The vacancy is open to either an experienced or newly qualified teacher. You will have the ability to teach English across the curriculum at Key Stage 3 / 5.

Responsibilities for this Key Stage 3 and 4/5 English Teacher Role include:

You will be responsible for teaching English to mixed ability classes, with the ability to teach English up to Key Stage 3/4/5. There will be the prospect of you also having to plan lessons, in line with National Curriculum expectations if the duration of the role is extended. You will be required to effectively manage pupil behaviour both in and out of the classroom setting and provide ongoing and consistent feedback on pupil progression.

*To follow the school's curriculum and assessment methodology (which are largely based on the National Curriculum)
*To assess prospective pupil applications
*To do at least one duty a week (paid additional)
*To attend staff meetings and parents' evenings as required out of school hours
*Occasional internal cover of absent staff
