Tradewind are recruiting! Are you an English teacher looking for a new, long term position?


Tradewind are currently working with a fantastic school in the heart of Grimsby, who are looking for an English teacher to cover a vacant position, initially from January 2020 - Easter 2020. This is a four day per week position, but for an excellent candidate it may be possible to make this full time, or to reduce a day. You will be working at a wonderful school that caters for 11 - 16 year olds, meaning there will be no A level teaching on offer. You will predominantly be teaching Key Stage 3 English, but there will be some teaching to Key Stage 4 students (mainly year 10). You will be working with the Edexcel exam board, so experience teaching with this exam board is preferable but not at all essential. You will be working in an established department filled with highly experienced, excellent staff. The head of department is an inspirational leader who works hard to ensure everybody in the department are well cared for, and have all the development and support they need. As the head of department is highly established an experienced, we would welcome any applications from NQTs for this position. More information on the school can be found below.


The School in question is a large academy in the heart of Grimsby, making it extremely accessible via public transport. There is a large onsite car park with ample space for all teachers and support staff for the successful practitioners that do drive. Your typical working hours for this position are 8:20 - 2:50PM. The school is at the heart of the local community, and value the community ethos of the school.

*Planning and delivering for Key Stage 3 and 4 English lessons
*Marking in line with the national curriculum
*Attending after school meetings
*Having a tutor group
