INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FOR AUSTRALIAN TEACHERS

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a full-time English Teacher to work at one of the highest achieving schools in London borough of Lewisham. This a great opportunity to secure a role as an English Teacher within a school that has a truly amazing reputation for the right reasons!

This school is looking to secure an English Teacher to start in April 2019. The role will be a permanent position. The English department is a very high achieving department within the school and therefore a teacher who has had a proven track record with raising attainment is essential. The school offers excellent CPD, training and support for all teacher and is therefore happy to consider both experienced, or newly qualified teachers for this role. The role will mainly be KS3 and KS4 (Years 7 - 10) teaching but there is room for KS5 (Years 11 - 12) teaching if desired.

This role will involve teaching small, co-educational classes of around 30 motivated boys and girls with an almost 50/50 timetable split across both Key Stages.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to the highest standard so pupils feel motivated and inspired by the subject. You will be required to provide a nurturing classroom environment that helps the pupils grow as learners. You will contribute to developing your department and ensuring that as a team, you are committed to raising achievement.

The school adopts a policy of supportive rigour when developing the student's academic and extra-curricular performance. Small class sizes mean that teachers have the opportunity to pay close attention to their pupils and develop each child.

The ideal candidate for this Key Stage 3 and 4 English Teacher role will:
*Be experienced and/or qualified to teach the subject successfully at Key Stage 3 and 4
*Be empathetic to the students and contribute to the school's friendly, enthusiastic atmosphere.
*Be familiar with the national curriculum and assessment methodology
*Have a sense of warmth and having a caring outlook
*Any other skills or subject expertise may be helpful.
