Tradewind are currently recruiting for an excellent English teacher to work full time in an academy in Scunthorpe. This position will be a maternity cover, starting October half term and expected to last until at least February in the new year. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role will be expected, for this reason you will be paid according with the main pay scale. As a numerical figure, this will be between £110.00 and £179.00 per day, based on experience and qualifications. This timetable will predominantly feature teaching Key Stage 3 English, but there will be some Key Stage 4 English teaching, and potentially be some Citizenship teaching to Key Stage 4 students. We would be eager to hear from any experienced teacher, or any NQTs who are looking for a full time teaching position at an excellent school with outstanding student behaviour.


The School in question is a small independent faith school that caters for students from Year 4- Year 13. It is a truly unique environment which focuses on community and strong pedagogy. The school are interested in hearing from vibrant teachers with excellent teaching techniques and innovative lesson plans, who will motivate students and engage them in English.

*Planning and delivering English to Key Stage 3 students
*Planning and delivering English to Key Stage 4 students
*Working to promote literacy in the school
