Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an 'outstanding' English Teacher to be part of this highly successful department, who have high standards and strive for excellence. If you have experience of teaching Key Stage 5 as well as Key Stages 3 and 4 would be an advantage (but not essential). The English department has a proven academic track record. Last year 89% of pupils achieved a standard pass or above in English and 77% of pupils achieved a strong pass or above in English. A Level results in 2019 saw over 80% of pupils achieve A*-B grades. At the same time the school offers a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities connected to English to all students, including a thriving Debating Society and team, theatre trips, author visits and much more. Last year our progress 8 figure was 0.98.
