Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an English Teacher to work in a lovely small single-sex secondary school to start in September 2019.

This particular school was rated 'Good' with Outstanding in their last Ofsted inspection maintaining a good quality of education in the school, building on its strengths and improving upon their weaknesses.

This school is based in Waltham Forest, East London and is easily accessible on the central line, about 10 minutes from Stratford Station. Some of the staff travel on the central line, jubilee line, DLR, TFL Rail and London Overground from all parts of London and have no issues with getting into the school easily. The school is best commuted by public transport, and not driving.

It has the reputation of being a friendly place for students to learn and teachers to work; pupils enjoy going to school and as a result their attendance is high. The school has a strong community spirit which is enhanced by the many extra-curricular activities on offer. Thus, complimenting teachers as behaviour issues are less common within the school; students are usually polite and aware of the importance of behaving well. This gives you as a teacher autonomy to just enjoy teaching your subject.

The quality of teaching remains good because teachers plan stimulating and enjoyable lessons which help pupils learn and achieve. There is an overall good achievement for GCSE within all subjects in the school.

Senior leaders, including Heads of Departments and governors work closely together to evaluate the school's performance based on updated information about the progress of pupils. The information is detailed which allows them to better the progress of pupils, teaching standard and environment as a whole.

Responsibilities for this English Teacher role would include;
*Teaching KS3 and KS4 English
*Working as a team and share high level practises with colleagues to remain ahead of the game one of the leading departments within the school
*Genuinely caring about the education of your students, going above and beyond to see them succeed and achieve
*Setting clear expectations and follow up issues firmly and fairly, this will gain the respect of the students and aid you when teaching the classes
*Producing enjoyable and stimulating lessons to keep students engaged

Requirements for you as an English Teacher include;
*Holding a QTS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)
*Prepared to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance and previous professional references that are at an average of Good or above
