Are you an organised and diligent Exams Officer, with experience of running secondary school systems effectively?

This Secondary School is on a journey from 'Good' to 'Outstanding' in the Blackpool area are looking for an experienced Examinations Officer with excellent knowledge of secondary data/ exams and the SIMS system, to join their dedicated team as soon as possible, with the potential of going perm. This role is term time only however you will be required to work an additional 10 days throughout the holidays.
You will have overall responsibility for the administration and organisation for all aspects of external and internal examinations in accordance with the legislation laid down by the rewarding bodies.
You will be responsible for the management of pupil data and analysis of a range of data across the school, and able to produce reports effectively for departments and senior managers. This will include managing assessment data and maintaining assessment manager, producing the school census, as well as annual reports and being responsible for the data security for the school.
The post holder will have excellent administrative skills and be computer literate. They will be highly efficient and organised with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload. You will be required to oversee the administration and organisation of all aspects of external examinations is in accordance with the regulations lay down by the awarding bodies. Additionally, oversee the administration and organisation of internal examinations and support the SIMS Data Lead and administrative staff as required.
The school is a large secondary and is extremely welcoming and friendly, placing emphasis on every student being nurtured as an individual. The school displays high expectations for students and staff, they are part of a large trust and growing year on year the school has a lovely family feel.
For the role you will be required to and MUST have:
*Previous experience in a similar role
*Experience of working in a secondary school environment
*Extensive working knowledge of SIMS and Excel
*The ability to work on your own and as part of a bigger team
*Lead and manage the whole school process for all external and internal examinations.
*Confident in producing accurate and timely data reports.
*Have a confidence, knowledge and understanding of using SIMS.
*Be highly organised and professional.
*Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills - Written and Oral.
*Excellent Organisation Skills with a systematic approach to workload management.
*Excellent time management, planning and work prioritisation skills.
*Ability to work effectively with a range of professionals.
*Ability to motivate / encourage / empower pupils and staff.
*Ability to work independently, without supervision.
*Ability to forge network and links with internal and external partners.
*Ability to work effectively as part of the team
*Ability to monitor, control and keep financial records according to the requirements of the school.
*Working knowledge of the academy's examination procedures and policy.
*Understanding and awareness of relevant legislation.
The secondary school is easily accessed with close links to the M55 and a large free parking on site, for public transport it has a bus stop outside the school.
