Tradewind are working in partnership with an Academy in Blackpool who are looking for a Teacher of Food from the 1 January 2019. They are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and motivated teacher who works well as part of a team and is looking to improve on their recent achievements.

This post offers the opportunity to teach food technology across all year groups whilst contributing to the thriving extra-curricular programme of the school. The school are looking for an energetic and passionate teacher who has experience of teaching across all Secondary age groups including GCSE preparation.

We are looking for:

* Food Technology Teacher who can teach across all key stages and who has excellent subject knowledge.
* A creative approach to teaching and learning who will engage through inspiring and clear teaching strategies.
* A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches.
* Plan work in accordance with departmental schemes of work and national curriculum programmes of study.
* Maintain good discipline by following the school's pupil disciplinary policies and procedures.
* Set appropriate and challenging work for all pupils.
* Complete pupil reports in line with school policy. Attend parents' evenings as required and keep parents informed about their child's performance and future targets.

You must have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK Teaching experience. You will be committed to raising standards and have good organisational and interpersonal skills. The successful Teacher will be fully supported in their career and professional development through a vast programme of CPD provided by the academy.

This Academy is situated very close to the end of the M55 just on the edge of Blackpool and is easily accessible to Public transport links.
