Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Food Technology Teacher, to join a smaller than average secondary school, to start in September 2020. This is a full time, one year contract, paying up to £170 a day.
To join us and be successful in this Food Technology Teacher role, you will need to:
*Hold QTS Status or QTLS
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Provide a CV that must have 10 years employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
The role itself will involve the delivery of Food Technology lessons, to students in KS3 and KS4, so you will need to be confident teaching the subject up to GCSE level. As part of the role, you will be expected to plan lessons and mark completed work. Ideal candidates will have excellent behaviour management, be able to build good rapport with students and a strong curriculum knowledge to ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
We are recruiting on behalf of a small and well-established community school, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school has recently partnered with a second school in the area and endeavours to achieve and aspires to be successful through determined and supportive leadership. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.
The school is based in Tameside, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
