Tradewind Manchester are recruiting! Are you a resourceful and dedicated Food Technology Teacher, looking for a new opportunity in a large academy school in Tameside?

The role
Tradewind Manchester are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Food Technology Teacher, to join a large secondary academy, to start after the Easter Break. This is a full time, long term role, with the potential of a permanent contract.

The role itself will involve the teaching WJEC Hospitality and Catering curriculum. You will need to be adaptable and confident across the subject areas. You will need to liaise with the teaching staff to feedback and keep them informed of student progress from lessons that you have covered.

The school
We are recruiting on behalf of a large and wholly inclusive academy, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school is part of a wider academy trust, working with three secondary schools in the local area. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.

This OFSTED 'Good' secondary academy is looking for a Food Technology Teacher that can deliver lessons across all Key Stages and has excellent behaviour management skills, as well as a great personality for building rapport with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, a confident behaviour manager and have the highest expectations of all young people. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead the students through all subject areas of the lessons you are covering.

The school is based in Tameside, near the M60, and has excellent public transport links and ample parking available.

After visiting this school, I was incredibly impressed by the exceptional building, which offers state of the art facilities, particularly the outstanding sports, art, drama and music provision.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team, who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations. Plus, the successful Cover Supervisor will be provided with a comprehensive induction package and a wide range of CPD opportunities for all staff.
