SEN school based in the Wirral are currently seeking a Food Technology Teacher to work within a SEMH school catering for pupils who are disengaged form education and those who have attachment and trauma issues. The school is a mixed school and delivers education to pupils aged 11-16 years. It has excellent transport links and is accessible by car or train.
The position is to start immediately and requires an experienced teacher with QTS and a positive attitude to teaching pupils with challenging behaviours.

You will be required to:
*Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 which may have been adapted to pupils' needs
*Helping pupils to develop their confidence, independence, abilities and attitudes
*Preparing lessons and teaching materials
*Marking and assessing work
Ideally you will have:
*Experience in a similar SEMH/SEN environment already
*Experience working with other professionals, such as medical professionals, speech and language therapists and Educational psychologists
*You will be supported by Teaching Assistants within a smaller than average size class (up to 8 pupils per class)
