We are recruiting! We are looking for a sports coach to work as a Teaching assistant to work in a school in Fishponds. They require a full-time Teaching assistant with sports back ground work to support their Secondary aged students with SEMH and conduct disorder. The role involves working part-time between 0830-1530 Monday to Friday and supporting students with SEN inside and outside the classroom. This role is ongoing for the whole of the academic year 2020-2021.
There is on street as well as private school car parking available, and public transport to the area from the city centre is plenty. Pay rate starts from 65 GBP per day and increases for a candidate who has Level 3 Football coaching training/equivalent other coaching experience/training or extensive working with SEMH experience.
Essential requirements:
Working with young people in a sports capacity
Sports coach training/experience
Advantageous skills and training
Team-teach training (It is a form of behaviour management technique used with challenging young people to de-escalate situations)
SEMH experience: Ability to manage challenging behaviour and being familiar with de-escalation approaches
Extensive experience with Secondary age experience
