Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Geography teacher looking for specialist cover opportunities in Hull and the East Riding?


Tradewind are working with an excellent school in Hull who are in need of Geography cover to start as soon as possible, lasting until at least February half term, with the likelihood of this extending in the future. You will be covering a period of sickness, so the exact length of the contract will be difficult to determine. To begin with, you will be simply delivering pre-planned work from an excellent head of department, with the students simply needing your expertise and subject knowledge to assist them at this pivotal time of the year. The timetable will include Key Stage 4 teaching, so we ideally need a specialist Geography teacher with subject knowledge, and experience teaching to Key Stage 4 students. If this progress into a 'longer term' need, the successful candidate may be asked to start planning and marking work. In the first instance you will be paid between £110.00 and £130.00 per day depending on your experience and qualifications. If you are asked to plan and mark for this position, you will be paid between £120.00 and £170.00, again depending on qualifications and experience. You will be working full time, between 8:30 and 3:30.


The School in question is a large Academy with good transport links and a strong sense of community spirit. Being in a central location, it is easily accessed via public transport and has a large onsite car park for those who do drive. You will be teaching in a school that is part of a large academy trust, many of which are localised in the Hull and East Riding area. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce yourself to a large trust of schools, and can lead to an increase in opportunities in the future, within the school and the trust.
