Tradewind are currently working with a number of Crosby secondary schools who are requiring full time Teaching Assistants to start asap. The roles require you to work Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3pm, and will continue until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will work on a 1-2-1 basis supporting secondary aged pupils with their academic and pastoral needs.
These Crosby secondary schools are looking to appoint Teaching Assistants who:
* Have experience of working with children aged 11-16 years
* can quickly establish a relationship with young people
* will be able to assist the teacher with classroom management
* will follow school policies, e.g. behaviour policy, safeguarding policy
* will fully commit to the schools ethos as if they were a permanent member of staff
The role of a secondary school Teaching Assistant is to engage students and manage their behaviour and to follow school policies, e.g. behaviour policy (you will be made aware of these on arrival at school)
The ideal Teaching Assistant will:
* Have a positive and engaging demeanour
* Be able to build positive professional relationships with both staff and students
* Be able to think on your feet
* Be able to communicate effectively
* Be committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of students
