Person specification - Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are working on behalf of an 'Outstanding' graded primary school who are in search of a highly motivated graduate to support within their KS2. All subject specialisms are welcome, however core subjects are preferred. This role would suit a graduate who has previous experience of working with young people, either tutoring or other work experience. You will have a strong desire to pursue teacher training in the near future.

About the role

This is a varied role and you will gain experience of working across the whole school with a mixture of pastoral and academic responsibilities. You will support class teachers and work with children's 1:1 building up to small groups as your confidence grows. You will assist in the department where your subject specialism lies and have the opportunity to enhance your own development with excellent on the job training.

This Primary school is located central to Manchester is keen to ensure graduate talent get the opportunity to gain paid experience prior to teacher training. The new Headteacher is passionate about ensuring each pupil receives a first class education regardless of background or ability.

* Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
