Graduate Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a passionate, hardworking, Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding and successful secondary school in Brent. This is a full time, long-term position, that will commence in the Summer Term and run until the end of the second term in the first instance, paying up to £75 a day, based on subject experience.
To join us and be successful in this Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Be a recent University Graduate with a 2:1 minimum and strong A Levels
- Be passionate about education and have a keen interest of pursuing a long term career in teaching or education
- Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
- Provide a CV with a minimum of 10 years employment/employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
- Have the legal right to work in the UK

The role itself will see you responsible for providing support, motivation, and encouragement to students with mild special educational needs, or those who are facing barriers to their learning. With guidance from the Inclusion Team and Class Teachers, you will be differentiating lessons to meet the individual needs of your key students, and also planning and delivering small group and individual intervention sessions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Graduates keen on commencing a PGCE or Teaching Training course in the future, as it will give you the head start you are looking for! This school is particularly interested in speaking with core subject Graduates (English, Maths and Science); however the position is open to all Secondary Subject Graduates with charisma, confidence and the academic abilities to match. Those with prior experience working with young people such as tuition, mentoring or youth work experience are of particular interest to this school.
