Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a Head of DT Teacher to work in a highly-ranked mixed-school in East London starting in January 2019.
The School was rated Good with Outstanding features in their last Ofsted Inspection in 2014.
The school have an expanding and responsive curriculum aimed at enhancing choice and opportunity for students as they progress through the school. DT is one of the most popular subjects within the school, we encourage students who choose the subject to strive for excellence and be sponges within their time at the school. The school inspire students with various options in what the subject can bring.

Required Skills
*Ability to teach KS3-5 DT
*A proven track record to motivate, support and enthuse their strong and committed team of specialists and technicians
*A team player who can work collaboratively within a team and confidently as an individual
*An enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can work well within a team as well as take initiative and go above and beyond to display excellence within the school
*An individual with leadership skills and qualities to inspire members of staff and students
*A QTS/QTLS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)
The Department
*The department aim to teach the skills needed to be able to be leading designers in today's climate
*The department is spit into 2 areas: first being the food and textiles area staffed by 2 teachers and 2 technicians, and the second area compromising of RM workshops, a multipurpose Graphics/RM workshop and a computer suite with computers and CAD/CAM facilities including 2 Laser cutters, cutter plotters, midi mills and a 3D modella scanner/cutter
*You will be leading 3 DT Teachers and 2 Technicians
*Holds International School Award status
*Continuously achieving outstanding results at GCSE and in 2017 the school achieved their best ever results

Salary
Daily Rate/Salary will be based on your experience, in line with the main pay scale and upper pay scale
