This is a creative, modern secondary school that is in the outer London borough of Havering on the boarders of Essex and close to the popular market town of Romford. The school has recently celebrated its 60th birthday and in that time has grown in to an excellent provider of a rounded education. The SLT at this school recognise the importance of their students developing their creative sides and as such ensure that creative subjects are promoted at KS3 and 4, supported through funding the best resources for the departments and taught by the best teachers the school can find. This means that subjects like art, drama and music have excelled in terms of results and popularity over the years; something the school is keen to see continue. From January and due to the current post holder relocating the school will require a committed Head of Music to continue the excellent work already done!

This role is suitable for both a current Head of Music who is looking for a new opportunity or a highly experienced Music Teacher looking to take the next step in their career as both will receive adequate support, development and career progression opportunities. The school is looking for an excellent teacher with a highly musical background. The school is expecting the incoming teacher to be capable of playing a number of instruments and have the ability to inspire all. This role comes with the requirement to be involved with some after school clubs and musical performances.
