Our client is a very successful and oversubscribed boys' comprehensive school, with a large 6th form, located in Merton. GCSE results (including English and Maths) are outstanding which reflects both the ability of the boys and the high quality staff in all departments. They have been acknowledged as one of the top 100 nonselective state funded schools in England.

The site is open and spacious with large playing fields. It is well served by road and public transport. Many staff live in the outer suburbs and countryside as well as in the locality. London Transport tube stations, tram and British Rail are within easy walking distance. Local bus services are efficient and there is ample car parking space for all teaching and support staff within the grounds.

Expectations are high at this outstanding boys school and students are challenged to achieve their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom. They aim to create a stimulating environment where students behave responsibly and contribute fully as they develop a clear sense of belonging to the school community. High academic attainment of students has been recognised and commended by Ofsted.

The boys mature into confident, articulate and sensitive young men, fully prepared to take up a place at their Sixth Form (RR6), higher education or employment.

The school are currently seeking to appoint a new teacher of History for September 2019, someone who places raising boys' achievement at the heart of their educational aspirations.
They encourage all staff to deliver their best, and provide support to both those new to the profession, with an established NQT induction programme, as well as those seeking advancement in the profession.
