Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative History Teacher, to join a secondary academy school, to start as soon as possible. This is a full time, long term role, paying up to £150 a day.

We are recruiting on behalf of a small and well-established secondary academy, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school is graded as 'Good' with good outcomes for pupils. The strong and ambitious leadership from the SLT has resulted in a noticeable improvement in behaviour, quality of teaching and the outcomes for pupils. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.

This OFSTED 'Good' secondary academy is looking for a History Teacher that can deliver lessons across all Key Stages, with a strong level of subject knowledge, as well as a great personality for building relationships with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, who will set high expectations, with the strive to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.

The role itself will involve the delivery of History lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, where the department has enjoyed improving GCSE results year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!

The school is based in Rochdale, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
